About Me
Born in London, my family moved to the South East coast of England when I was little. A nomadic upbringing followed and throughout my teenage years I travelled through life with little but my passion for art as company.
I first started to sell my work at local Sunday markets and before long a local art dealer bought some of my work for his seafront art shop which was popular with tourists during the summer season. As my work appeared popular I felt this presented an opportunity for me to progress in life and in my early twenties I made the move to North London, where I now rent a flat a short walk from the converted garage I use as a studio.
Every single piece I produce will always remain unique; Never to be found on another wall in the world. I do not paint to a formula or repeatable template but enjoy giving each painting its own individuality. However I do still try to price my work at a competitive price as a genuine alternative to the mass produced works available from high street outlets or via internet retailers.
In order to ensure my work withstands the test of time I use good quality stretched box canvases and high pigment content paint to minimise colour fade over the years. Repeat business and personal recommendation is vital to my future and so I will always do my best to make sure every customer is entirely happy with every purchase and that it withstands the tests of time.
Please do browse though the work listed as currently available on this website and consider the opportunity to invest in a Max Yashen original - for yourself or as a special gift for another.
During 2017 I hope to launch a new creative concept and hope to share further details shortly.
